McGinn Dinner

The McGinn Dinner is a celebration (with stovies) of Scottish folksinger Matt McGinn, sponsored by the Kilcreggan Hotel.

Matt McGinn was a Glaswegian folk singer-songwriter, actor, author born in the 1920s who is recognised as an influential figure in the British folk music revival of the late Fifties and early Sixties.

Over the course of the evening we will revisiting 20 of McGinn’s works with songs and recitals by a host of local artists, Kilcreggan and Rosneath Primary Schools , and Dumbarton’s AGM who are the main hosts for the night. Included in your ticket price is a tasty portion of stovies courtesy of the evening’s sponsor.

The dinner marks the start of Cove Carnival

The McGinn Dinner launches Cove Carnival - a new carnival of arts and music - which will see five days of events ranging from a performance by Scottish Opera to a celebration of architecture.

The Carnival, sponsored by local businesses, is organised by Rosneath Peninsula West Community Development Trust.
