Authors taking the stage at Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival this year include Sara Trevelyan (ex wife of Jimmy Boyle) Jim Carruth (the Glasgow Makar) Paul MacAlindin (founder of the Iraqi Youth Orchestra) Jon Snow (Anchor of Channel 4 News) and Ian Rankin (top selling crime writer)

And for the first time there will be food and drink theme at the two-day event in November, which will be held in Cove Burgh Hall for the fifth year.

Chairs include: David Robinson - former literary editor of The Scotsman, Faith Liddell - former Director of the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Simon Preston - co-presenter of Kitchen Café, BBC Radio Scotland’s weekly food programme, Sumayya Usmani -  celebrated exponent of Asian cuisine, Rosemary Burnett - former head of Amnesty International Scotland, and our very own Ruth Wishart - journalist and broadcaster.
