Music & Dance

Peninsula Choir

The Peninsula Choir was set up in September 2010.  We have a membership of almost 50.  Week to week around 35 of us get together to sing and learn our new repertoire for the two concerts we put on in a season.

It's a healthy challenge, to start to learn new music.  As we constantly point out, the majority of the choir members do not read music. Our choir master is Stephen Adam from Scottish Opera Orchestra. Stephen writes many of our arrangements - so our work is original and fresh.  Stephen records all songs and the recording is circulated to the choir members.  We, in turn, can learn our individual part - whether soprano, alto, tenor or bass - while we drive in the car or walk the dog.

New members to the choir are always welcome especially if you are a tenor or bass - plenty of room for more in the male section!  Anyone interested in joining should contact Michael

Peninsula Choir meets Friday evenings 7-9pm in the Cove Burgh Hall

We never hold auditions.  All welcome.  This is a community choir.
