Book Festival 2019

Sustaining the inner bibliophile

The soupmakers and soupservers at Cove & Kilcreggan Book Festival did a heroic job in a very busy kitchen and cafe on the first day of the Festival. It was a record turnout for the Festival and a rapt audience for today's talks given by Denise Mina, Gavin Francis, Melanie Reid, and the writer duo Christopher Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman (Ambrose  Perry). Tonight celebrated human rights lawyer Helena Kennedy QC is in conversation with Sarah Smith, BBC Scotland Editor.
