There was a power cut in Kilcreggan in January. Cove Burgh Hall was opened to provide a warm, safe space for all those in the village without power - anyone could pitch up and find the building open.
As well as warmth, the hall provided power points for charging devices, as well as kitchen facilities for making hot drinks and heating up food - residents were encouraged to bring along their own food and drinks, making use of hall facilities, including cups, dishes and cutlery if required.
Residents were asked to let anyone without internet or transport know and offer information and lifts to those who may require it.
