Cove Burgh Hall played host to a danceathon on Saturday, July 11 that saw non-stop action with dozens of dances over four straight hours. Reboot Line Dancing ran the event in support of the hall and Dumbarton and Helensburgh Parkinson's Support Group. It was extra special for member Ellen McVey who was recently diagnosed with the condition. Organisers said "Supporting the charity feels like a fitting tribute to her strength, spirit and determination. To date, the running total is in excess of £1200. A big thank you to all the dancers who took part and for those who took the time to come along, donate and cheer us on." Graham Bell, chairman of Cove Burgh Hall Board, added: "Every week the Reboot Line Dancers bring exercise and enthusiasm to Cove Burgh Hall. Not content with that, they expended even more energy on their charity danceathon, with the hall being one of the beneficiaries. On behalf of all the hall users I want to give them a big thank you for the support. This will be going towards our hall internal renovations, so very much appreciated."
