There is cause for celebration - CBH has achieved a Keystone Award! It is a quality award scheme for people who run village halls and community buildings. The scheme is managed by the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations. CBH is one of the first halls to achieve the award in the Argyll and Bute Council area.
'Run by the community, for the community' - the lifeblood of CBH is its' community of Friends, user groups, event go-ers, energetic volunteers, and the incredible investment in CBH made by the team of volunteer directors - past and present. All have contributed in making CBH the outstanding community asset it is today - a worthy recipient of this Award.
The Keystone process assesses the extent to which management policies and procedures adequately look after the Hall's users and volunteers, care for the building, enhance community life, and ensure that activities happen in a safe and welcoming environment.
The outcome speaks for itself!
