About Tim Porteus:
Tim is a storyteller with decades of storytelling experience. He's a dad of five children (three grown up now). He has used storytelling within his family and as a way to build community connections. He has worked extensively in schools, using storytelling to promote well-being and literacy. For the past 14 years he's written a weekly column called “Tim's Tales” in his local newspaper The East Lothian Courier. He has published three books on local folktales for both adults and children.
Although he's a professional storyteller he doesn't see his storytelling as just a profession, but a way of living life.
